Our next Network MeetUp is fast approaching and we will be spending some time with Karla Adolphe from Jacob and Lily! We will be meeting April 1 at 7 PM, and for likely the last time in a while, we’ll meeting again at my home. You can email me (see below) for the address. This is a bit closer to our last meeting than will be the usual timing, but it is a time when we can connect with someone really special.
The Body Creative Network is a group of Christians excited about engaging their culture with the Truth and Beauty of Christ. Karla Adolphe and her husband Gary share that same heart. You can read about their journey with Jacob and Lily on their blog at http://www.jacobandlily.com/blog. Our evening together will include time to share what God is doing in our lives and our art, and time to hear from Karla, who is actively pursuing life as a full time Arts-missionary, and a time to dream and pray together. Perhaps Karla will even treat us to a tune?
One of the things on Karla and Gary will share with us is how artists fit into the body of Christ. In an unconventional ministry, finding their own fit has been a struggle at times, but it is a beautiful thing to know how you can best serve the family of Christ with your gifts. In preparation, you may want to read through the book of Ephesians.
SPACE IS LIMITED! Please note, my home is not huge, and so space is limited. That’s why I’m asking you to RSVP for this special night, and we will go on a first-come first-served basis. I’d love to fit everyone, but we will likely need to cap it off just over 20.
Please RSVP me at dave@bodycreative.com as soon as you can. You can also RSVP on Facebook at …
